Drawing from my own love of sunrises and travel, I envisioned DayBreak as more than just an app, it’s a community and a daily reminder of nature's simple, yet profound beauty. I focused on blending functionality with an inviting aesthetic that resonates with both urban explorers and nature enthusiasts.

Visual Identity & User Experience

• Calming Aesthetics: The design employs a serene colour palette that mirrors the gentle hues of early morning light. Soft gradients and clean typography evoke the calm and promise of a new day.

• Intuitive Interface: The app’s layout was designed for ease-of-use. Users can quickly browse through featured sunrise spots, explore user-submitted locations, and contribute their own discoveries.

• Community-Driven Features: Emphasising the social aspect, DayBreak includes functionalities such as upvoting favourite locations and sharing personal experiences. This not only enriches the user experience but also helps curate the most stunning sunrise spots based on collective wisdom.

Bringing the Idea to Life

The development process involved:

• User Journey Mapping: Identifying key touchpoints where users would engage with the app, from discovering a new sunrise spot to sharing a memorable experience.

• Prototyping & Iteration: Crafting interactive prototypes to test the flow and functionality, ensuring that the experience is both intuitive and delightful.

• Visual Storytelling: Every design element, from icons to imagery, was chosen to tell the story of a day’s beautiful beginning, inviting users appreciate the moment.
